Our North Ipswich and Central Suffolk Conservative Policy Forum (CPF) has been reconstituted.
So far we have had two meetings, the first one in late April. This was aimed at discussing our remit, ways of working and, not least, getting to know one another.
The second meeting took place in late July when our discussions provided ideas for our response to 'the Work and Pensions' policy suggestions, to be submitted to the central CPF. I sent that document in by the end of August.
The next task will be to provide input for our Party's next Manifesto.
Apart from responding to the topics handed on to us we also intend to broach our own matters of interest and concern, to be sent in to the central CPF.
We are also using this forum to cross pollinate ideas, to debate current new matters and concerns in general. Tips for reading, books, articles and existing other organizations of interest are a good way of expanding our scope.
I feel very happy to be running our CPF. It is a joy to be amongst thinking people with shared values, aiming at achieving some things that may be of use to our party and beyond.
