To help to alleviate the financial impact, suffered by all of our residents during the pandemic, East Suffolk Council has frozen the district portion of Council Tax for the financial year 2021/22. This was announced in the Council’s budget by Framlingham Ward Councillor, Maurice Cook, who is the Cabinet Member for Resources on East Suffolk Council.
Maurice was able to make this very welcome announcement because of financial support from the Government, typical Conservative financial prudence over a number of years and a healthy reserve position. At the same time, Maurice pledged that all key services will be maintained and all of the capital investment plans, all of which benefit our local economy, will continue to be fully funded.
